Lana + Nick’s Jamaica Wedding – Destination Wedding Photographers

Lana and Nick said their I do’s in a gorgeous beach ceremony in Jamaica.

Thank you Lana and Nick for sharing your amazing wedding with us.

Lana & Nick’s story

It took fate a few tries to finally cause Nick and Lana to realize each other, both attending the same classes daily for 2 and a half years before they truly saw each other’s counterpart.  Looking back on photos from years before they met, the Bride or the Groom can be found in the background of the other’s photographs, but it wasn’t until they encountered the longest homework assignment of their lives that destiny finally hit.  In desperation, as hour 28 was approaching of working on thermodynamic brain teasers, Lana approached Nick in the library and invited him to finish up at her apartment.

Slaving through the night and through the next day, as the exemplary students that they were, Nick and Lana finally finished the homework assignment.  In celebration they opened a bottle of wine and toasted each other.

A bottle of wine later, they talked through the night discussing their dreams, theoretical physics, and their uncanny similarities.  Overcome by an urge of spontaneity Lana exclaimed that Nick was required to ask her out on a date… Which he did, and as they say, the rest was history!

Jennifer + Doug’s Milwaukee Wedding – Wisconsin Wedding Photographers

Jennifer and Doug said their vows in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee Wisconsin. This couple was absolutely amazing to photograph. They made our job so easy. Be sure to check out their story from the bride herself.

Jennifer and Doug’s story..

Doug and I met on match.com in Feb. 2010. I had just moved to Milwaukee from southern California to pursue my BSN at Alverno College. Not knowing anyone in the area combined with attending an all-women’s college prompted me to join match.com. Doug had been on and off of match.com for a few years, mostly during breaks from actuarial exams. Not having much luck with the site, he was about to sign out of the online dating world forever, until he saw my profile. I had written a very honest, genuine, and slightly funny profile. I had a line in my profile about liking nerdier types of guys because they are usually funny, sweet, and have the best personalities. He decided to send me a message, the subject line reading “Looking for a nerd?”. I was instantly smitten. I knew this was a guy that I had to meet. And the rest is history.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. The weather, which had been cloudy and rainy the week leading up to our day was sunny and gorgeous. It was important our ceremony tell the story of us, so guests could hear our love story. Above all, we wanted the day to reflect things we love. We both love food and music. We love indie music so our dinner music was a soundtrack of artists we love: Pixies, Feist, Arcade Fire, among others. For dinner, we chose globally-inspired food stations which were a big hit with our guests. The day could not have gone any better.
